Quad-biking in North Yorkshire
Wednesday 17th April 2024
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are delighted to announce our April ’24 date for Quad-biking in North Yorkshire with Marc and the team at Live for Today Adventures.
Based at Hazlewood Castle, Just off the A64, only 30 minutes from Leeds and York, is some really exciting terrain for quad-biking. With over 70 acres of undulating natural woodland, long straights, muddy boggy sections, ascents and descents here is a real chance to get to grips with the great outdoors.
We’ll meet in the Live for Today Reception at 11.00am for tea, coffee and a briefing; then we’ll kit up for the session.
Note: they’ll supply helmets, gloves, and overalls BUT please bring waterproof footwear ( i.e. wellies). This activity contains mud and you will get muddy!
Following the safety briefing we will be split into groups (the first group will head out approx., 11.30am with the other groups having refreshments and a social before heading out) for the warm-up and there is an “easy track” and a “hard route” with some challenging terrain to master, but for safety reasons it will be up to the Instructors to determine the participants for the more challenging routes.
Please note : absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed!
And don’t worry if you have never seen a quad bike before, just be ready to be amazed at what you can achieve. Marc and the team are fully qualified, friendly instructors, who will ensure you have a safe, enjoyable and ultimately exciting time.
Note: There are fully accessible loos five minutes away at the Castle.
We will be provided with tea and coffee making facilities but will need to bring our own lunch.
And remember that with Sportability anyone within our remit can participate free of charge.
So just to recap on those details:
Directions on entering the grounds from the A64, take the first right, turn left at the T-Junction and continue straight until you reach the fork in the road (this road is single track, two way traffic with passing places).
