Friends, Amis, Amigos, Amici,

We are delighted to announce that we have arranged some fantastic evening Gliding for You.

The fabulous team of experienced instructors at the Wolds Gliding Club are waiting to welcome us on:-

Friday 29th May 2026

5.30 pm

Wolds Gliding Club, The Airfield, Pocklington, East Yorkshire, YO42 1NP

This is a really exhilarating experience, bringing you the thrill of silent flight and definitely one not to be missed.

Sure the take-off and landing seem a bit hairy for first timers, but when you are up up and away there is nothing like it. The views are simply amazing!

There’s also the chance of some stunning and truly different photography. It’s a fabulous experience. No expertise required, simply have a go and be thrilled!

If this sounds like something you would like to experience please make sure to book your place.

We are waiting to welcome you.

Wolds Gliding have advised the following weight and height restrictions:-

  • Pilot must weigh between 50kg and 100kg (limits are based on the ‘balance’ of the glider not the ‘strength’)
  • Pilot must be between 1.5m and 1.9m in height (in order to reach the controls)

If you would like to join us at this exciting event then please don’t hesitate to contact Valerie at info@sportability.org.uk

We hope to see you there!

Best Wishes,
The Sportability Team.
