The Norfolk Motor Group have very kindly agreed to sponsor a series of fundraising golf tournaments held in East Anglia. They started with the Rookery Park tournament held at the end of May 2015, donating all the prizes and the trophies. At the prestigious Royal Norwich golf tournament, 10th July 2015, they are not only offering all prizes and trophies but donating a brand new car as a prize for the Hole in One tournament to give added impetus to the fundraising! NMG will complete the series with sponsorship of the Dereham Golf Club Sportability golf Classic to be held in October.
NMG Managing Director, Grant Long, says “Having worked with Sportability we realised just how quickly a person’s life can change and the need for them to find a way to help their general well-being and recovery is important! With no government support the Charity needs commercial partners and we are delighted to help their fundraising effort by sponsoring the series of East Anglian golf tournaments”.
With all the funds raised going towards our programme of sport we urge all you golfers out there to come along and have a great day and support the cause. David Heard, Sportability CEO says “For those people with paralysis who take part in our sports programmes around the country, this is not a simple recreational moment. The effects – the buzz – will be immediate, but the benefits can be life changing. It is not about developing elite sports people but to inspire the thought ‘if I can do this what else can I achieve? There is life after paralysis”
