Friends, Amigos, Amici,

We are delighted to announce the October 2026 date with the Hurn Rifle & Pistol Club who have invited Sportability for a very special afternoon of shooting at their range in Hurn, Christchurch on Saturday 24th October.

This event will consist of shooting various .22 rim rifles with next to zero recoil.

The plan is to meet at 9.45 pm for a prompt 10.00 am start, ending at around 12.30 pm ish.

The range is 25 meters, and the Club is affiliated to the National Small Bore Rifle Associate (NSRA) as well as the National Rifle Association (NRA) and run to the highest safety standards. All safety equipment will be supplied on the day.

Don’t worry if you have never held a gun or a pistol in your hands before, you’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. It is always a day of fun and discovery. It’s not about being an expert – absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed.

Hurn are also making available to us their accessible club house and providing tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the event.

Strictly No Dogs!
