Brand New Clay Pigeon Shooting Event Essex Shooting Ground Thursday 9th July 2026

We are delighted to announce a fabulous shooting event at the Essex Shooting Ground Flyfield, near Chipping, Ongar Essex.

Thursday 9th July 2026

Ollie and the enthusiastic team at with Clay Pigeon Shoot Ltd will be waiting to welcome us for a ‘taster’ session of clay pigeon shooting with expert tuition from the Team.

There’s plenty of parking and hard packed gravel pathway to the the large, easy to access shooting area, where the clays will be coming at you from various angles.

The plan is to arrive 11.30 am for a meet and greet; with a start time of 12 noon and finish time of approx.2.30pm.

Don’t worry if you have never held a gun in your hands before, there will be dedicated instructors on hand.

You’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. It’s a day of fun and discovery. It is not about being an expert – absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed.

Note: There are no accessible facilities, but there’s accessible parking and toilet at the Norton Heath Cafe [and some great food!] just 10 minutes’ drive away at Ingatestone, just off the A414.

How to get there:-

Olly advises: “Please do NOT use a sat nav device to locate the shooting ground as most devices will direct you via closed private access routes. Access is via Cannon’s Lane in Fyfield ONLY. if you must use a sat nav device set it for Cannons Lane Fyfield via Chipping Ongar”.
