Brand New Air Rifle Shooting Event Friday 20th February 2026

We are delighted to announce a fabulous brand new Air Rifle Shooting event at one of Derbyshire’s finest shooting grounds – Eaton Hall.

The enthusiastic team will be waiting to welcome us for a ‘taster’ session of air rifle shooting.

Eaton Hall Shooting Ground is nestled in the Derbyshire countryside and spans 80 acres and offering the very best in air rifle shooting.

The air rifle area is located to the right at the end of the access road. It features 22 covered positions and can be heated if necessary. The floor in this area is Astroturf, with access via a bitumen-covered road and path. There is a moderate, but manageable slope leading to the area.

The plan is: Arrive 11.00 am for a meet and greet; with a start time of 11.30 am.

Don’t worry if you have never held a gun in your hands before, there will be dedicated instructors on hand.

You’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. It’s a day of fun and discovery. It is not about being an expert – absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed.

Access to Eaton Hall is via the A515, then a well-maintained single-carriageway B road with clear signage. The road is narrow in places but has numerous laybys for passing. The venue entrance features a large gateway with signage on the right gatepost, leading through wrought iron gates.

The main car park is by the clubhouse, offering approximately six disabled parking spaces near the entrance, along with ample additional parking that generally isn’t busy. All roadways and paths are newly laid bitumen with no gravel.

The clubhouse, located to the left of the access road, has electrically operated doors on both sides of the reception area with no steps. The reception area includes a large dining area and café to the rear, serving both hot and cold food and drinks. To the right of reception are well-designed disabled toilet, complete with handrails and wheelchair accessibility.
