A Fabulous Twin Sports Day
Quad-bikes and Archery
Tuesday 20th August 2019

Friends, Amigos, Amici,

We thrilled to announce a Brand New Twin Event for our Yorkshire Region. We have quad-biking & archery with Ben and the crew at the Yorkshire Activity Centre.

We’ll meet around 10.30 am and after for a full safety briefing we plan to start at 11.00 am. Some of you will be kitted up for the quad-biking while some will begin with the archery, and then swap over.

Absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed!

The quad bike trekking course will be led by experienced and qualified instructors. You will be taught the basics, using their automatic bikes, and take part in a simple warm up before trekking into the open Yorkshire countryside. The course consists of steep hills, boggy terrain, a mini mountain range, tight single tract and open straights. Something for everyone.

For the archery there are experienced archery GB instructors who will school you in the art of of this sport, using modern re-curve bows which are specifically designed for taster archery sessions. They will soon have you hitting the target!

You are under no pressure to take part in both events. Although you might surprise yourself and be tempted – You’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. It is always a day of fun and discovery.

The loo on site is not accessible, there are No Grab Rails and it requires the user to be able to do a standing transfer. The nearest accessible loos can be found five minutes drive away at ‘The Grange’ – Coffee Shop and Garden Centre – School Lane, Askham Richard, YO23 3FT.

Also, please bring a packed lunch and refreshments, as the Cafe at the centre is not open on a Tuesday.
