~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are so excited to be back!
So join us on Wednesday, 23rd September, for one of our most popular events – Quad Biking with Phil and the team at Outdoor Pursuits UK, Wormdale Farm, Wormdale Hill, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 7PX
IMORTANT COVID NOTICE
Covid-19 procedures require that you are able to transfer yourself on and off the quad-bike, unaided. Or to have a nominee (personal assistant, etc) being a member of your family/bubble from whom you are not required to isolate, who, alone, will be able to help you. Unfortunately, under the present situation there can be no close handling by any other person, including OP support staff.
Covid Precautions: Outdoor Pursuits have in place a system of: pre-sanitised, one use only helmets; disposable gloves; social distancing; limited group sizes; etc. They are working with the general public on those terms.
These are of course precautions intended to minimise the risk of the transmissions of Covid-19 that Outdoor Pursuits has put in place in order to comply with their obligations under government directives. However, as you will appreciate, there is no absolute guarantee of non-infection and we would accordingly ask you to please ensure that you carefully assess the risk in respect of your own personal condition before deciding whether or not to participate.
Event Details: We’ll meet around 11.30 am with coffee and a briefing and then kit up for the quad-biking session.
Please note: absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed!
For those that have ridden quad bikes with us before and are both confident and competent we have an additional feature: A woodland ramble in convoy.
For safety reasons it will of course be up to the OP instructors to determine the participants, but we’re delighted to be able to offer this added attraction.
Don’t worry if you have never seen a quad bike before, just be ready to be amazed at what you can achieve. Outdoor Pursuits UK have fully qualified, friendly instructors on hand to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time.
Tea, coffee, water and indulgent biscuits are available throughout, and the welcome is always warm.
Note: There is an accessible loo at the farm, about a quarter mile from the site. And Portaloos at the sites BUT these are NOT wheelchair accessible.
And remember that with Sportability anyone within our remit can participate free of charge.
So just to recap on those details:
Quad Biking – Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at Wormdale Farm. Meet at 11.30am for a Noon start; finish around 3.00pm.
Directions: At M2 Roundabout DO NOT take the A249 dual carriageway towards Sittingbourne and Sheerness. Take the next exit after the traffic lights signposted Danaway and Newington. After about a mile take the first left road signposted golf course. Wormdale Farm is on the right after passing Sittingbourne golf course. Look out for the Outdoor Pursuits sign and marshals directing towards the car parking area.
We’d love to see you there, so if you want to join us then please contact Valerie at the Sportability office on 020-8959-0089; or email us at info@sportability.org.uk
Best Wishes,
The Sportability Team
