Event Details
Friends, Amis, Amigos, Amici,
We are really excited to announce the date for one of our most popular events: quad-biking on Wednesday 16th October.
Robin and the crew at Avalanche Adventure are waiting to welcome us at their extensive facility, just 7 miles from Junction 20 of the M1, in Market Harborough, near Leicester.
We’ll meet at 12.00 pm for complimentary tea and coffee with a planned 12.30 pm start. There will be a full safety briefing, then kit up for the quad-biking session. This will be a gentle circuit in the fields adjoining. This is 1-on-1 instruction to determine the skill and ability levels. But please note: Absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed!
Then it’s off for a woodland ramble in convoy – they have over 15 kms of tracks through some 440 acres of challenging countryside incorporating slopes, mud, grassland and picturesque woodland. For safety reasons it will of course be up to the Avalanche Adventure instructors to determine the route and participants. They may decide for safety reasons to split the group, but we know you will enjoy the ride!
So, surprise yourself and be tempted, you’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. It will be an afternoon of fun and discovery.
Timings:
Arrive – ‘meet and greet’ – at 12.00 pm; QUADBIKING 12.30 pm to approx. 3.00 pm.
At the end of the access country lane there’s the main reception building – a delightful log cabin cum cafeteria with terrace. The car parking is in the adjoining area – so easy access. We’ll meet on the terrace. Note: There is ramped access to the cafeteria and an accessible loo in this building.

Directions to Avalanche Adventure:
From the M1 junction 20, take the A4304 east towards Walcote, continue to North Kilworth where it becomes Station Road, after passing the Esso petrol station on your right. Then, crossing the Grand Union Canal at Kilworth Marina, the road jinks right and comes to a T-junction with Welford Road. Turn right and a short way along turn left into Sibbertoft Road. After the gliding club on your left and passing Sulby Road on your right the road (surprisingly) becomes Welford Road again! Immediately there’s a lane on the left (signed either with Avalanche Adventure and/or Quad Nation) which is the entrance lane to the event.
So please put this date in your diary:
Wednesday 16th October 2024
