Power Boating – Scarborough
Wednesday 24th July 2019
We are thrilled to announce Power Boating in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
The fully qualified crew at Wetwheels Yorkshire will be waiting to welcome you at the Marina Entrance.
Don’t Miss out – Make sure you Book Now!
There are two sailing sessions (am, & pm). Please let us know which one you prefer.
Morning Session : Arrival time 10.30am – Sailing 11.00am – 12.30pm.
Afternoon Session : Arrival time 1.30 pm – Sailing 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
Meet at the Marina Entrance which is situated off Sandside, on the South Side of Scarborough, and wait to be escorted to the boat by a member of the Wetwheels crew.
The Wetwheels boat will enable you to experience the joy, the fun, the exhilaration of powered boating with everyone getting a turn at sailing the boat. Complete novices and never-evers are more than welcome. A friendly team of instructors and experienced sailors will ensure your time on the water, whatever your level, is thrilling
The marina is fully accessible and there is roll on, roll off wheelchair access to the boat. Life Jackets are of course provided.
Don’t worry if you haven’t tried power boating before, there will be plenty of hands-on advice, guidance and instruction.
And remember that with Sportability anyone within our remit can participate free of charge. And, for this event only, friends, family and carers can participate, for a price. Enquire, if interested, with your booking request.
There are wheelchair accessible loos at the meeting point but no changing rooms, so if you do get wet you will have to change in one of these loos. The are plenty of cafes minutes away, and there is parking at West Pier Car Park and on Marine Drive. Disabled parking is available but limited.
You don’t need special clothing, anything that is comfortable is OK. Tracksuits are ideal, but any casual trouser, jeans, tee-shirts and sweatshirts or fleeces are fine. Ladies, do not wear dresses or skirts as the life jackets use crutch straps.
It will always feel cooler on the water, so it is a good idea to bring an extra layer. As mentioned before a change of clothes is also not a bad idea – just in case, but Wetwheels do have splash capes available on board.
So just to recap on those details:
