We are delighted to announce our June date for one of our most popular events – Microlight Flying.

We’re working with Amanda and Dave at Wanafly Airsports – a really enthusiastic couple – who will introduce you to the thrills and excitement of flying on Wednesday 26th June.

Wanafly Airsports operates from the outstanding facilities at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, less than 20 minutes from the M1 making flying for even more people with disabilities a reality.

Using a Flexwing two-seater Quik 912s microlight, we’ll take to the skies.  These open cockpit aircraft allow easier access.

Our fully qualified instructor, Simon, will be taking you up for an approximate 20 minute flight.  And possibly, during the flight, you might take control of the aircraft under direction.

That’s what we call an Experience!

Flying suits and helmets will be provided and there are no particular dress requirements. But, please, no shorts or sandals. Not for aesthetic reasons, but for safety and comfort.

Once parked, follow the path and walkway leading to the Control Tower and Pilots Mess – Coffee shop, for the meet and greet.  We will then go together to the aircraft for a group briefing and some fabulous microlight flying.

Don’t worry if you have never seen a microlight before, just be ready to be amazed at what you can achieve!

Important Notice: The following health restrictions apply in all cases:

Persons flying should weigh no more than 110kg and not suffer with epilepsy.

The sport will be restricted solely to people within our remit i.e. with some form of paralysis. But, as ever, friends and family are very welcome to come along and watch the fun!

Wednesday 26th June 2024  – 11.30 am for a noon start.
