Indoor Skydiving with iFLY Manchester
Tuesday 26th November 2024
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friends, Amigos, Amici,
We have arranged some fabulous indoor skydiving with iFLY Manchester.
The friendly, professional crew are waiting to welcome us. They are a really enthusiastic posse of people – who will introduce you to the thrills and excitement of skydiving on 26th Nov 2024.
Here’s what they say, “Yes, you really can fly! iFLY is where those dreams of flight become a reality. Get ready to be suspended in our column of air which totally reproduces the feeling of free-fall. Super safe, super fun and super cool!”
Book your place Now – We are waiting to welcome you. …..
iFLY operate from a custom-built facility at the Leisure Village in Trafford Quays. Pride of place is a 14ft (4.3m) diameter, super-smooth, super-fast and super-cool wind tunnel which jets you off the floor and suspends you airborne. It is literally a ‘blast’.
We’ve again agreed some taster flights for our people. You might only be flying for a few minutes, but it will make you feel sky high.
That’s what we call an Experience!
Flying suits and helmets will be provided and there are no particular dress requirements, except trainers or soft shoes are the preferred footwear; and anyone with long hair should have the means to tie it back.
Less than four miles from the centre of Manchester and conveniently located just off the M60 motorway at junction 10, the iFLY building is right next to the Chill Factore Indoor Ski Slope and opposite the Trafford Centre. After you come off J10 head towards the Trafford Centre and take the left turn marked by a Brown Tourist sign ‘Trafford Quays Leisure Village’ just by the Premier Inn. You come out at a roundabout signed ‘Ski Slope’ to the left, follow that sign and you will see iFLY World on the left just pass the Chill Factore.
We’ll meet promptly at 11.30 am
The centre is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a lift to the flying floor. Access to the waiting room is also wheelchair accessible BUT the entrance to the wind tunnel is narrow. Don’t worry! Assistance will be on hand for those that need it.
IMPORTANT: When booking please provide the following information which helps with the smooth running of the event. Are you in a wheelchair? Can you weight bear and do a standing transfer?
So, we’ll be seeing you in the reception at: iFLY Indoor Skydiving Trafford Quays Leisure Village, 9 Trafford Way, Manchester, M41 7JA.
For further info log on to the iFLY website.
Important Notice: The following conditions are advised by iFLY and apply to all participants. Persons flying should never have had a dislocated shoulder, and not suffer with epilepsy. There is a weight limit of maximum 18 stone (114kg).
The sport will be restricted solely to people within our remit i.e., with some form of paralysis. But, as ever, friends and family are very welcome to come along and watch the fun!
So, to recap: the date and timings for your diary are:
