We are pleased to announce the September 2019 date for the ever popular twin event of Gliding and Blokart Sailing in the Cotswold.

Friday 6th September 2019

This is an exhilarating experience.  Sure the take-off and landing seem a bit hairy for first timers, but when you are up up and away there is nothing like it.  The views over the Cotswolds and out across the Bristol Channel are simply amazing!

There’s also the chance of some stunning and truly different photography. It’s a fabulous experience. No expertise required, simply sit there and be thrilled!

After your flight or perhaps before you might like to check out something different. You have the chance to try the sport of Blokart sailing. With even the slightest breeze, these efficient crafts can get you whizzing around in no time. Its thrilling, easy to pick up and a lot of fun.

Our regional organiser, Chris Selway, is 4 times British Champion in the sport and one of the most experienced Blokart instructors in the country, particularly when it comes to people with disabilities. You’ll be in safe hands and any safety equipment you need will be provided (please note that enclosed footwear, preferably covering your ankles, is recommended). Chris can have up to 3 Blokarts available so there’s plenty of grins to be had.

To avoid waiting time we like to stagger the start times by 45 mins – so the first person up will be just after 11.00am, then 11.45 am and so on.

If you only want to take part in one of the sports for whatever reason please let us know when booking in so that we can timetable the day to run as smoothly as possible

Please note the following restrictions as advised by Cotswold Gliding Club :-

Weight. Due to aircraft limitations we cannot fly with anyone over 110kg (242lbs), fully clothed and wearing a parachute (7kg). If you weigh less than 45kg (100lbs) then please contact us for advice. Also very tall people, more than 1.9m (6ft 3ins), may have difficulty fitting into the cockpit.
