Multi Motorsport Experience
The Garden of England Plays Host to Sportability
Saturday 3rd August 2019

We are delighted to announce our August 2019 date for the fabulous Multi-sport Event with the Ian Wright Organisation at Ashtree Farm in Kent.

This really is something special and you will be as enthused by, not only the range of activities, but the professionalism and commitment of the team at IWO.

For starters, there are over 250 acres of wonderful woodland, fields, orchards, hillsides, valleys, tracks, steeps and open grassland for us to play in. Mix in 10 acres of forest and you have an impressive terrain.

Then there’s the range of kit available. We are all familiar with quad-bikes – one of the signature events of Sportability. But the boys at IWO add an adapted 4×4 Land-rover for a true off-road experience and a variety of vehicles which might include the Maxcat – an amphibious vehicle that drives like a tank and a Dune Buggy, amongst others.  Having sampled them all we can tell you that this is something to be experienced!

We’ll meet at 12.30pm for a prompt 1.00pm start.

There will be coffee and a briefing, then kit up for the quad- biking session. This will be a gentle circuit in the fields adjoining. Please note : absolute beginners or never-evers all welcomed!

For those that have ridden quad bikes with us before and are both confident and competent we have an additional feature: A woodland ramble in convoy.

For safety reasons it will of course be up to the IWO instructors to determine the participants, but we’re delighted to be able to offer this added attraction.

Then a short break for some refreshment and then onto the off-road experience.

Don’t worry if you have never driven off-road before. You’ll be amazed at what you might achieve. The Land-rover has a hand throttle operated by the instructor and a steering wheel handle if required. It takes in the usual tracks and gullies, steeps and slides. There is always accompanied expert instruction 1-on-1 throughout the drive

Alternating with the 4×4 we’ll have another instructor taking the Maxcat sessions. These fun machines career around much of the same terrain but it’s amazing how many times they can find the mud!

This is one of the most exciting events we put on – a real adrenaline buzz.

You are under no pressure to take part in every event. Although you might surprise yourself and be tempted! It is always a day of fun and discovery.

Approximate timetable:

MEET at 12.30pm

QUADBIKING 1pm to 2.30pm

4X4 OFF-ROAD/MAXCAT 3pm to 4.30pm

These times may vary at the discretion of the instructors

We recommend that you bring along a packed lunch on the day as we’ll have a short break between events. There are seating facilities available in the briefing room, or if the weather is mild, outside on the benched seating area over looking the stunning views of the estate.

So please put this date in your diary:

Saturday 3rd August 2019
