Sportability brings sport and challenging pursuits to people with paralysis. Our aim is to take the ‘dis’ out of disability and focus on ability.

From a single event in 1989, we now organise dozens of events offering around 1,000 free places, across 15 regions of the UK each year.

Welcome To Sportability
The world of Sportability sees people getting out of their wheelchairs, off their crutches and sticks and into canoes, gliders, microlights or sailing boats.
Whether quadbikiing or BloKart sailing, shooting shotguns, air rifles and pistols, or bows and crossbows, it’s about turning their back on ‘disability’ and JUST DOING IT!

Rookery Re-vitalised - After a three-year absence, Rookery Park Golf Club once again hosted The Sportablility Golf Classic fundraising day on Friday 26th May. And what a day it was! Fifteen teams competed for the stylish, David Whiteside trophy in fabulous sunshine on a pristine course. Rookey Park GC holds the unique distinction of being the first ever supporter and fundraiser of Sportability – a relationship that goes back an amazing 34 years. And the newly formed organising group excelled in not only putting on a great tournament but raising in excess of £7,000 for our Charity. Heartfelt thanks to all involved. 
SPORTABILITY AT 02 LONDON FOR INDOOR SKYDIVING - Yes, iFLY have a brand new London location and they welcomed Sportability [just after their opening] in May. Eight of our members came along for this Fabulous, Exhilarating Experience. What a day it was…. Look out for upcoming dates and make sure to book.
RIP Glyn : Sportability friend extraordinaire…… - Glyn Bishop 1944 –2022 It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of a remarkable man and Sportability friend extraordinaire, Glyn Bishop. Glyn has been a supporter of our Charity since its inception. He held the first ever fundraising event for the Charity – a golf tournament at Rookery Park Golf Club – in 1989 and, Covid years excepted, he has run one every year since!
