Probably our most sort after sport, Quadbiking is not only a thrilling experience but also a unique means of accessing parts of the countryside that other means can’t reach. Using Yamaha Breeze quadbikes, or Suzuki 80’s we take the process in three easy and very enjoyable stages.

For complete novices – a try-drive – the walking paced introduction 1-on-1; in the southwest this is around the farmyard, in the Midlands a tracked field and in E. Anglia a tarmac circuit. Then as the skill and confidence increases we take in slightly more difficult terrain or make up a coned course to be navigated at speed.
For second timers there’s a ramble around the estate in the SW; an extended track alongside the river in the Midlands and some rough country in EA.
For those that want more we are developing excursions in each area modelled on the Woodchester Park excursion in Gloucestershire. This is a four-hour ramble in a convoy of some six or so quad bikes around the National Trust Estate taking in trails, forestry tracks and open field riding. There’s a stop for refreshments en route at a lovely lakeside location and views of the manor house.

Note: we are negotiating with the Forestry Commission to get a similar arrangement in our other areas of operation.

Finally, for those dedicated bikers there’s the opportunity to get a nationally recognised license through a unique scheme run by the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. This one-day intensive D.A.T.V. certified course takes in half a day on theory and half a day quadbike riding skills tuition, rounded up with practising your skills around the quarries, ponds, woodlands and farmland

After that, hire (or take your own) quadbike around National Trust land or private property. In other words, you can go for a ramble in the countryside with a friend or member of your family. You will regain access and YOU have the fun of the quadbike! It is a chance to explore and enjoy the countryside – something that should be available to everyone.
