Flying

One of our most popular events launched in summer 2008 was Microlight flying.  Our partners in this are The Aviation for Paraplegics and Tetraplegics Trust.

The APT operate from Old Sarum Airfield near Salisbury in Wiltshire and have made flying for people with disabilities a reality since 1994.

Using two specially adapted Microlight aircrafts. The Shadow is elegant, tough and has an unrivalled record for reliability, safety and performance. Each has two-seats, with specially modified controls for pilots with varying disabilities.

Once at the airfield in Old Sarum, there is an on-site cafe which is fully accessible with toilets etc. This makes a good viewing area for friends and family and an ideal waiting place.

There is plenty of parking and Old Sarum is easy to get to from Poole and Southampton or indeed any where else as A303 is near by for those coming from East and west of country.
